Inspiration through lived experience

Sabrina is a Chicago-based contemporary oil and mixed-media artist whose work moves fluently between representational portraiture, botanical abstraction, and experimental material play. Working primarily in oil with occasional gold leaf, ink, and found materials, her paintings return again and again to a single preoccupation: the inheritance of feminine identity; what is passed down, reclaimed, and reimagined across generations of women. Rich, saturated palettes, tactile brushwork, and a recurring vocabulary of florals, portraiture, and symbolic creatures give her canvases a sense of both intimacy and ceremony.

Sabrina's exhibition history began in Chicago's independent arts scene, including collaboration with Fugscreen Studios in Wicker Park (2010) and two consecutive years participating in 100 Canvases at the Silver Room Block Party (2010, 2011); a landmark community arts event in Chicago. In 2011 she was selected for a residency on the second floor of the historic Fine Arts Building, and exhibited at the Chicago Built Festival that same year. In 2012 she exhibited a body of work in a Wicker Park pop-up studio program entitled A Personal Project. This marked a turn toward more introspective time and her exploration of maternal identity and transformation.

Today, her practice now extends beyond the canvas: her original paintings serve as the creative foundation for Four Antoinnettes, an emerging luxury stationery brand, transforming her fine-art imagery into correspondence, invitations, and keepsake paper goods for a new generation of collectors and correspondents.

Sabrina works between the canvas and the page, continuing a lifelong commitment to art as both a personal archive and shared inheritance.
